I made some new friends, they live around an hour away from me. Ive seen them 3 times already, greatly enjoyed them all. My parents complain about the distance, but I can understand that. Ive been invited to 2 sleep overs but have had to reject them because my parents "dont like" my new friends. Im 15 years old, and am not a baby anymore, although I feel like Im treated like one! My mum and dad try to make up every excuse possible so I cant see these people. Which sucks, cause they really have changed and basically saved my life. Ah my mum and dad wont let me catch a bus or anything alone. What can I do to possibly make them care less? Cause I hate it! This is my explanation to them! Do you think its a bit harsh? You don’t understand, never have, and never will. It’s hard having to face each day inside the body of someone you don’t want to know but it’s even harder when the two people who raised and thought they knew you from birth decide not to be supportive or even care. For 10 years now, I have lived a lie. And I lived this lie for you. It was not easy, but it made you happy, and kept our family at peace, which was all that mattered at the time. After so long, the pain built up inside me and while I tried my hardest to hide it, I considered either suicide or transition. It was through meeting new friends that accepted me, despite my problem that I became a happier person. It was through these people that I discovered life and that transition is possible, and it was through these people that I was encouraged to tell you the truth about myself. In reality, these people, that I know you do not like, saved my life, and to take them away from me for your own worries would only dig me a deeper hole to hell. I am sorry I disappointed you, I am sorry I am not the perfect child you so wanted me to be. Life is hard, but your not making it any easier.
